Yard Operative / FLT Driver – Dartford, Kent

MGF are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Yard Operative / FLT Driver to join our busy depot in Dartford, Kent. We offer competitive rates of pay to applicants who display the required skills.

Reporting to the Depot Foreman, your duties will involve general labouring around the yard and will vary on a daily basis depending on the Company requirements.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Driving Fork Lift Trucks, 7t to 17t
  • Preparing equipment i.e. assembling, sorting and testing
  • Assisting in loading / unloading of Company vehicles
  • Sorting, identifying and recording damages
  • Racking and stacking equipment
  • Inspecting Kit
  • Jet Washing
  • Testing of Hydraulic equipment (Training provided)

The core requirements for this role are;

  • An FLT licence (minimum 7t)
  • Experience handling heavy steel with an FLT
  • Good appreciation of Health & Safety
  • Experience of working in a team environment
  • Experience within a busy yard environment
  • A UK driving licence
