Rail Sales Specialist – Tring, Hertfordshire

Due to continued growth our successful MGF Rail Division, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a southern based Rail Sales Specialist and are keen to hear from all suitable applicants. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate and with CP6 framework and HS2 projects a great opportunity exists for the right candidate to join our team, in support of our South East and South West depots. Technically minded with hands on experience in the civil engineering / rail industry, you will work with the Rail Sector Manager to actively promote all MGF’s products and services to the Rail Industry throughout the South region.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing existing business and generating business from new accounts, in order to achieve budgeted levels of revenue in a profitable and professional manner;
  • Providing technical advice and support to our customers by understanding their requirements;
  • Providing technical assistance and ensuring delivery of optimum solutions;
  • Ensuring that all customer service levels and performance standards are met.

Ideally candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a rail environment role;
  • 3 years sales experience, preferably in a plant hire, shoring and/or construction sales role;
  • Lead the depot in the growth of existing business and establishing new areas of business;
  • B2B experience;
  • Educated to Degree level (any discipline considered) or Higher National Diploma (HND) level;
  • GCSE Maths and English;
  • IT skills and be computer literate (e.g. experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office etc.).

We are looking for someone who is ambitious and adaptable, with strong commercial awareness, the ability to work in teams, use initiative and who is highly motivated.

Our ideal candidate will preferably have experience within shoring or construction. The position would suit an individual who has strong technical ability, good commercial awareness, excellent communication and people skills and previous sales experience. Training will be provided, to suit the candidate’s requirements.

An excellent remuneration package including significant sales commission will be offered to the right candidate.
