Junior Web Developer – Head Office, Ashton-in-Makerfield

MGF are currently seeking to recruit a Junior Web Developer to join the team at our Head Office in Ashton-in-Makerfield.

As a Junior Web Developer, you will work with the software development team, to proactively assist in the development and maintenance of the Companies external and internal facing web applications and progressively take part in design of digital systems throughout the organisation. As part of the team you will be actively involved in:

  • Redevelopment of legacy web applications
  • Design and development of bespoke web and mobile applications
  • The full software development life-cycle from requirements and specifications to testing, quality assurance and maintenance

The core skill requirements of this role are:

  • A Technical degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of :- OOP PHP 7+, Javascript/Ajax, HTML5/CSS3, MySQL, GIT version control
  • Experience in the following is also desirable :- MVC Frameworks, especially Lumen / Laravel, Angular JS or Angular 2+, Responsive Design, Testing Methodologies, Restful APIs, NPM, Webpack, Continuous integration

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, they should also be an effective communicator with strong problem solving and decision making skills together with good planning and organising skills.
