HR Administrator – Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan

We are looking for an experienced HR Administrator who is passionate about the delivery of a first-class service, to assist the HR team through an exciting period of change.  The role will be based at our Head Office in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

As HR Administrator, you will provide a proactive and efficient administration service to the HR team, including answering and dealing with phone calls, producing routine documents, inputting data into HR systems, maintaining filing systems, assisting to organise meetings, interviews and attend training events

The role involves a range of duties including, but not limited to;

  • Assisting in the recruitment and selection process,
  • Administration surrounding starters and leavers,
  • Updating employee records and files, ensuring documents are stored effectively,
  • Responding to emails and requests for information,
  • Assisting with processing training records,
  • Assisting with processing holiday and absence records,
  • Providing administrative HR support, such as preparing documents, letters, taking notes, maintaining HR records, helping prepare monthly reports, filing, scanning and research.

 The core skill requirements of the role are;

  • Strong administration and organisation skills,
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role,
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including Maths and English at Grades C or above),
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels,
  • Strong IT Skills with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word,
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work,
  • A willingness to learn and take up new challenges.

A CIPD qualification is also desirable, but not essential.
