New College Durham Student Joins MGF

After taking on an apprentice from New College Durham back in 2015, MGF invited students from the college for an open day in January of 2018. The four students, who all studied Fabrication and Welding Level 2 or Level 3, were hosted by the yard foreman Ger Hallahan and other staff members at MGF’s Durham depot. Tring Depot Receives Silver FORS

Congratulations to MGF’s transport team for upgrading the Tring fleet to FORS Silver! The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme promoting best practice for commercial transport. FORS encompasses all aspects of safety, efficiency, and environmental protection by encouraging and training fleet operators to measure, monitor and improve performance. FORS Bronze, Silver and Gold membership provides progressive fulfilments enabling operators to employ best practice. FORS Silver was awarded to the Tring fleet this year. MGF recently attended the North West Employee Engagement Group (NWEEG) 2018 awards evening where Liz and Nick collected their prizes, after an impressive 5 MGF employee nominations.
