We are proud to design, develop and manufacture our entire range of shoring equipment in-house. It allows us to provide in-depth product knowledge, flexibility to meet demand and the ability to undertake bespoke manufacture to meet the most complex of requirements.


Ben Achieves IEng Status

Congratulations to Design Engineer Ben Gorrill on his recent achievement of IEng status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). New College Durham Student Joins MGF

After taking on an apprentice from New College Durham back in 2015, MGF invited students from the college for an open day in January of 2018. The four students, who all studied Fabrication and Welding Level 2 or Level 3, were hosted by the yard foreman Ger Hallahan and other staff members at MGF’s Durham depot. We can’t believe a few cake bakes has raised over £900 for Macmillan – our biggest coffee morning yet!
The Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and raises money to help anyone with cancer live life as fully as they can. People all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan.

Specialist Project: Struts Used to Install 540t Gantry Cranes

As part of the development of their facilities in North East of England, Smulders Projects, who produce offshore wind farm jacket foundations, planned to install two gantry cranes capable of lifting 540t each.
