Mechanical Struts
MGF Mechanical Struts have been developed to accommodate the increasing requirements of the proprietary shoring market. Each strut is based on a bolted modular format, which combined with a mechanical or hydraulic jack, enables quick and simple adjustment in length. There are 2 types of strut available, each with a different load capacity.

The Mechanical Superstrut has a maximum permissible axial load capacity of 540kN while the Mechanical Strut has a maximum permissible axial load capacity of 270kN.  Each strut can provide unsupported spans from 1.4m to 16.0m.  The struts can be used in single, multi-directional or raking strut applications and can be used without hydraulic bracing frames in non-standard applications such as propping concrete walls, contiguous piled walls and capping beams.

Both types of Mechanical Struts can be combined with MGF Titan Brace and Tank Brace to increase the load capacities of the frames or to minimise deflection where this may be critical. Combined with the Tank Brace, the struts also provide a high capacity waler system.
